WORK AT TIDAL CYBER

Senior Product Manager (Integrations)

Remote U.S

Some travel to Reston, VA

Position Summary

You’ve acquired a broad and deep knowledge of the cybersecurity marketplace and you enjoy keeping up with the industry news. In fact you had Fedex Office print you a 4-foot-wide blowup of the Optiv Security Technology Landscape to hang on your wall to make it easier to follow along (OK maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point). When an acquisition is announced, your product brain immediately begins thinking through how those two companies will find synergies, where there might be overlaps, and how this changes the landscape for all the other players.

You’re an experienced product manager with a track record of success – and you’re at your best when half the challenge is defining what success even means. You work equally well with security practitioners, engineers, customers, designers, marketing, and executives, but secretly, the sales team is your favorite stakeholder. You really respect a salesperson who understands their customer’s needs really well and is trying to find a way to make things work for the customer and the company, and you like rolling up your sleeves and trying to find a way to make it happen while still staying on the path to long-term success.

We’re transitioning from operating as a single product development team to multiple teams working in a coordinated but loosely coupled way to accelerate delivery. We want you to help form and lead our Integration Experience team, whose mission is to provide maximum insight into the security value of the products our customers have in their environment, and to make the experience of using those integrations in Tidal Cyber Enterprise Edition make the user say “wow, that was awesome!”

You’ll work alongside our existing engineering and design leaders on this team and report to our Sr. Director of Product as our first individual-contributor Product Manager. We’re an early-stage startup and we try to run things with all the creativity, growth, and flexibility you’d expect, but with less chaos than your average startup.

If this sounds like you, send us a note about why you think this is a good fit for you and a resume to jobs@tidalcyber.com . We use AI at Tidal Cyber, but not for screening applicants – an actual knowledgeable human will read all serious submissions and acknowledge them within one week of receipt. We’ll do our best to set your expectations and keep you informed throughout the process.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in Product Management or equivalent experience.
  • Strong breadth and depth of knowledge of the cybersecurity market.
  • Enough IT chops to know what most product categories in the security landscape actually DO, and to be able to figure out how to muddle your way through a product’s configuration interface when you get your hands on an NFR instance.
  • The ability to work effectively with a vendor with whom we’re trying to integrate and be a good partner to them so they are happy to be working with Tidal Cyber and see benefits from it.
  • Strong product and design sense – you’ve seen enough product integration experiences to have a good feel for what good is, and you can communicate it to your team effectively.
  • The ability and willingness to figure out what needs to be done to be successful, figure out the best way to do it, and make it happen. Often this is providing context and working with others; sometimes it’s doing it yourself, even if it’s not something you’ve done before or are expert in.
  • A general understanding of what AI can and can’t do today, curiosity and willingness to learn and experiment about what it can do tomorrow, and the judgement to know you shouldn’t give an AI agent you just read about access to your secrets manager and tell it to go to town because YOLO!
  • Previous experience at a startup, small company, major new initiative within a large organization, independent work, or anything similar that can demonstrate that you can thrive (and enjoy) working without all the structure of a large organization.

Location

This is a US-based mostly remote position where availability during normal Eastern time zone hours and occasional travel into Reston, VA or other locations are requirements. This position is open to US-based people who are authorized to work in the US. Tidal Cyber is not currently able to sponsor visas.

Compensation is a competitive base salary based on your skills and experience, annual cash bonus, equity, 401k with company match, a generous company contribution to medical premiums that fully covers the premium cost of many family plans, fully paid dental and vision, unlimited paid time off, and other benefits.
