Position Summary
We are seeking a Sales Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for cybersecurity to join our team. This role is critical in supporting our pre-sales efforts by partnering with Account Executives and solution teams to deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical validation, and solution design for prospects. You will work closely with the sales team during client calls and discovery sessions, helping translate business challenges into technical solutions using Tidal Cyber’s platform. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers understand how our Threat-Informed Defense Platform can elevate their cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Support & Technical Enablement
- Collaborate with Account Executives and participate directly in client calls and demos to identify technical requirements and align Tidal Cyber’s capabilities to customer needs.
- Translate customer pain points into technical use cases using Tidal Cyber’s platform.
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical inquiries.
- Lead product workshops and training.
- Solution Design
- Help customers design integrations with existing security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, BAS platforms).
- Guide teams through how to apply ATT&CK/ CTEM procedures to their specific threats and tech stack.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years in a pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, or cybersecurity consulting role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts (including: threat intelligence, threat detection, CTEM, and/or MITRE ATT&CK).
- Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles with demos, technical Q&A, and pilots/proof-of-concept.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, especially in joint sales/customer environments.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with security platforms like SIEM, EDR, or BAS tools
- Exposure to API integrations
- Prior experience in SaaS cybersecurity companies
Location
This is a US-based mostly remote position where some travel into Reston, VA is a requirement. This position is open to US-based people who are authorized to work in the US. Tidal Cyber is not currently able to sponsor visas.
