WORK AT TIDAL CYBER

Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Remote U.S.

Occasional travel to Reston, VA.

Position Summary

You’re an experienced infrastructure engineer who’s managed an infrastructure fleet, ideally at an early to mid-stage SaaS startup. Maybe you led a team there; maybe you learned a ton from being part of a great team and you’re ready to take on something bigger. One way or another, you have a strong foundation in all the key parts of a modern cloud stack: cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring & alerting, product security, and more.

Your approach is generally that a first simple version that’s implemented is better than a complex plan that isn’t. You embrace YAGNI, but you also have the experience and intuition to know when it’s worth it to push just a little bit beyond what you absolutely know you need today, because needs are growing quickly. And when something’s wrong, you habitually fix it at least twice, if not three times: First, the immediate fix to get things back up and running as quickly as possible. Then, a fix for how it failed in the first place. And third, if we didn’t detect it well, or responding was harder than it should have been, how can we do those better so that when a similar thing happens, we catch it and respond faster and better?

We’re looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to expand our Platform team and shape the future of Tidal Cyber’s SaaS infrastructure. This role is a phenomenal opportunity for you to take the next step in your career and play a key role as Tidal Cyber rapidly scales up.

  • Excellent in communicating at the right level of detail to various stakeholders: executive, external and internal customers, engineering leadership, product, and engineering peers

  • Experience with the modern tools and technologies (or their equivalents) that Tidal Cyber uses: AWS, Python, and React.
  • 7+ years of experience in professional software development, with 4+ years focused on infrastructure
